Instapot Red Meat Stew

Ingredients

  • 1 lbs red meat
  • Potato (large chunks)
  • Carrot (large chunks)
  • Parsnip (large chunks)
  • Squash (large chunks)
  • Mushroom (halved)
  • 2-4 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 3 cups broth (beef)
  • 1 cup red wine
  • 1 tablespoon worcestershire
  • 1.5 teaspoons dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon tumeric
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Directions

  • Set to sautee and wait for pan to get warm
  • Add Olive Oil for browning meat
  • Brown meat
  • Sautee garlic with meat briefly once meat is lightly browned
  • Deglaze pan
  • Add spices
  • Mix well and ensure the spices are mostly even through liquid
  • Add all veggies
  • Change to meat/stew setting
  • 35 minutes high pressure
  • 10 minute natural release
  • Quick release rest
  • Eat

Work In Progress Notes

  • Reduced amount of meat in original recipes, increased veggies
  • Tumeric was not in original recipes
  • Squash was not in original recipes
  • Used decent Pino Noir
  • Doubled worcestershire sauce for more bite
  • 3 cloves garlic
