<description>Notes Brown Rice Substitution From BudgetBytes: Brown rice requires more liquid and a much longer cook time than white rice, so you will need to take these into account if you attempt to substitute brown rice for the white rice in this recipe. While I havent tested a brown rice version, I would probably add at least another cup of chicken broth and increase the simmer time to closer to 40 minutes.</description>

<description>Cajun Seasoning 2 tsp smoked paprika 1 tsp oregano 1 tsp thyme 1/2 tsp garlic powder 1/2 tsp onion powder 1/4 tsp cayenne (optional) 1/4 tsp black pepper (to taste / ground) 1/4 tsp salt (to taste) Chicken Pasta 1 lbs chicken (cubed) onion (diced ; optional) 1/2 lbs penne pasta 3 cups vegetable broth 8-12oz cream cheese Directions Big sauce pan Soften onion Add chicken and cook just through Add broth and deglaze Add penne Bring to boil Reduce to simmer Cover Cook, stirring occassionally until penne done Slowly add cream cheese chunks until desired creaminess </description>
