For some reason koanf is returning 0 values when getting config entries. See https://github.com/knadh/koanf/issues/32 for additional details

Seems duration and getfloatmap don't work as anticipated.

Tweaked config handling to better manage this stuff while working with upstream to fix any bugs that may or may not be present.
